Description
Apogee’s line of rugged photometric sensors accurately measure lux illuminance on a surface weighted to the human eye response, very closely matching the CIE-1931 curve. Photometric sensors are used to measure lighting levels for human vision in an array of environments like sports arenas, offices, museums, hospitals, and more.
Spectral Response
The mean relative spectral response of four SE-100 photometric radiometers (green) compared to the CIE-1931 curve (black). The spectral response can be seen in the graph below.

Rugged, Self-cleaning Housing
Patented domed shaped sensor head (diffuser and body) facilitates runoff of dew and rain to keep the sensor clean and minimizes errors caused by dust blocking the radiation path. Sensors are housed in a rugged, anodized aluminum body and electronics are fully potted.
